Back Forty has a truly original sound. Throw a Funk/Soul bassist in with a hard grooving/experimental drummer, mix in two superb singer/song writing guitarists that have been collaborating together for over 7 years, top it off with a virtuoso fiddle player that has more effect pedals than musician’s friend and you have Back Forty.

This eclectic group of musicians and their backgrounds is also portrayed in the music. One live set may contain Funk, Bluegrass, Rock, Folk, Reggae, Irish, Jazz, Experimentation, Blues, and Swing elements. With a repertoire of over 70 songs and a fondness for improvisation Back Forty thrives on the live stage.
