THE SECOND ANNUAL COLUMBIA GAS RIBS ON THE RIVER PRESENTED BY KEYBANK BENEFITING THE AMERICAN RED CROSS
TO TAKE PLACE AUGUST 3 – AUGUST 5 IN DOWNTOWN TOLEDO
Toledo, OH …… CitiFest is proud to welcome the Second Annual Columbia Gas Ribs on the River Presented by KeyBank Benefiting the American Red Cross. This event will definitely spice up the downtown Toledo riverfront and will surely be THE Ribs event of the summer.
Featuring the best local, regional and national rib vendors, the finest musical talent and a fun-filled family area, this event offers something for everyone. The 2007 Columbia Gas Ribs on the River Presented by KeyBank Benefiting the American Red Cross will take place in Promenade Park, along the downtown Toledo riverfront, on August 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The American Red Cross will serve as the benefiting non-profit agency providing volunteers.
New this year is Piggy’s Playland Presented by Owens Corning, a family fun area filled with rides, games, miniature golf, and much, much more! Piggy’s Playland will take place on Saturday, August 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, August 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Rib vendors participating in the second annual Columbia Gas Ribs on the River Presented by KeyBank Benefiting the American Red Cross include: Big Boned BBQ Co. (Plymouth MN), Black Kettle Bar Be Que (Toledo, OH), Blazin’ Bronco BBQ (Port St. Lucie, FL), Desperado’s BBQ & Rib Co. (Hinkley, OH), Eli’s Famous BBQ (Warren, OH), Famous Dave’s BBQ (Toledo, OH), Johnson’s BBQ (Norfolk, VA), Mr. Beefy’s/ Fat Freddy’s Sticky Q (Toledo, OH), Po Mo’s (Toledo, OH), Porky N Beans (Port St. Lucie, FL), Shorty’s BBQ (Toledo, OH), Tom’s BBQ (Toledo, OH) and We Are Ribs (Toledo, OH). The Glass Pig Award as chosen by area judges and the People’s Choice Award as chosen by the event attendees will both be awarded at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5th.
Additional vendors selling tasty festival food such as corn on the cob, onion rings, ice cream and kettle corn will also fill Promenade Park.
Friday’s headlining entertainment features The Danger Brothers from Columbus, OH, Saturday features Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band from Asheville, NC. and Sunday features Madison Avenue Band from Toledo.
