LAKESIDE, Ohio – July 27, 2007 – Lakeside’s historic Hoover Auditorium will feature Chip Richter & The Munks 8:15 p.m., Monday, July 30. This delightful performance is sure to be filled with gentle spirit, pleasant and winsome style, and an unmistakable connection with family audiences. Even more importantly, this concert will be an opportunity for families to get the newest CD, “Chip’s Bits and Piecies.” In fact, it will be release party for not only his new CD but also a special, limited edition CD that will be available at Hoover Monday night only! “Chip’s Bits and Pieces” CD showcases special graphics as well as three bonus tracks. Lakeside’s own Glen Becker and his company, Becker Marketing Group, designed the graphics for the new CD as well as the special, limited edition release. Chip Richter & The Munks bring a clear message of love and laughter through their concerts. As a solo artist, Richter has been traveling and performing full-time for more than ten years as a singer-songwriter, family entertainer, and conference and workshop speaker. He has been an artist-in-residence at Lakeside. Richter and his family have been leading “God Squad” for a dozen years and have made the kids’ ministry program as strong as it is today. He also has held positions of youth pastor, children’s camp director, and worship arts ministries director, football coach, recording engineer, studio owner, producer and businessman. Over the years, literally thousands of children and parents alike have been touched by Richter’s weekly performances. The group will entertain with songs that range from rollicking, fun, bash-around tunes, to songs that are very spiritual but not “preachy.” Richter’s songs have found a place on both Christian and secular kids radio programs and around the country. Chip Richter’s music has been compared to James Taylor and Phil Keaggy and indeed offers a tranquil, folk appeal that is soothing to the soul and finds a welcoming audience among parents as much as children. His songs seem to touch the heart of the “child” in us all, capturing snapshots of “family life” that people of all ages will recognize. Join Lakeside’s beloved “Pied Piper” as he shares the stage with a band of great friends Monday evening.
