Jackson’s Lounge And Grill To Host MTV Celebrity
~TOLEDO~ Jackson’s Lounge and Grill, 233 North Huron, will host one of the stars from music mogul Sean “Diddy” Comb’s television show “Making the Band 4”, on Saturday August 18, 2007. Willie Madison Taylor III, solely known as “Will” on the MTV show, was picked from thousands of contestants and is currently a top-ten finalist on the number one rated reality show competition. Will’s performance at Jackson’s is a precursor to the show’s grand finale announcing the winners, airing live on MTV at the end of August.
Making The Band 4 is Diddy’s hit reality show that chronicles his journey toward building a singing group to emulate legendary acts such as The Temptations, Boyz II Men, New Edition and *NSync.
Voted “fan favorite” on Making The Band 4’s Exclusive Fansite, Will is a native of Chicago who previously toured as the lead singer of the group Kwiet Storm and collaborated with such artists as Ginuwine, Jagged Edge, Joe and Avant.
The opening act for Saturday’s show will be Toledo resident Jay Rush, who recently re-appeared as a contestant on Black Entertainment Television’s “106 & Park” after his initial appearance in January garnered the highest ratings in the history of the show for its “Wild Out Wednesdays” performance competition.
Rush recently performed in Atlanta as an invited guest for rapper Ludacris’ charitable foundation, in New York with hip-hop sensation M.I.M.S and has toured with John Legend, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Musiq Souldchild, Common and his brother—Sony Recording Artist Chester “Lyfe” Jennings.
Admission for the show at Jackson’s is ten dollars before eleven o’clock and fifteen dollars after. Patrons—ages twenty-three and older with valid i.d. and proper attire—are welcome. Doors open at 8:00 P.M. and will close at capacity.
