CREATIVE CONSTRUCTION CONTEST KICKED OFF IN DOWNTOWN
Fremont, Ohio, August 20, 2007- The first annual Creative Construction Contest, sponsored by Downtown Fremont, Inc. kicked off this Saturday during the Farmer’s Market.
Seven local businesses are participating in the contest and competing against each other to see who the public thinks built the most spectacular structure. The participants include First Choice Packaging, Green Bay Packaging, H.J. Heinz, Looking Good Aveda Concept Salon & Spa, Spieldenner Carpet One, The Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee and Wendt Key Team Realty. The businesses used little more than the product they sell, the packaging for their product and items related to their business to create log cabins, Transformers, Pirate Ships and more.
The entries will be displayed and voting will take place until noon on Monday, August 27, 2007. When you come downtown to view these one-of-a kind pieces of art, you can vote for your favorite and at the same time be entered in a drawing to win a $50 Downtown Fremont Gift Certificate. The structures are on display at the Chamber of Commerce, DaVinci’s Gallery & Coffee House, Gifts ‘N Graphix, Looking Good, Spieldenner’s, and Teacher’s Companion.
