WHAT: Local residents looking for a way to help victims of the Southern California fire disaster now have a local donation location.
Westfield is using all of its shopping centers nationwide, including Westfield Franklin Park in Toledo, as collection points for funds to support San Diego County fire victims. All Westfield centers are participating in the drive now through Saturday, November 10, 2007.
Westfield will be collecting cash and check donations that will go directly to the American Red Cross to assist in local fire relief. Please indicate “2007 San Diego Wildfires” in the memo portion of checks to ensure immediate routing to the fire relief fund.
Additionally, shoppers may purchase Westfield Gift Cards on behalf of fire victims at all collection locations. Fire victims will then be able to use the Gift Cards to purchase any necessary supplies at the closest available Westfield shopping center.
