A Holiday Charity Gospel Music Concert to Benefit Area Homeless Shelters

Join the members of First Creations, as they host a charity Gospel Music Concert scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2007. The concert will take place at the Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church located 640 Indiana Avenue, Toledo Ohio. They are asking that you bring a new toy or clothing item donation to cover your admission. Monetary donations will be acceptable as well.
This Gospel Concert entitled “An Evening with First Creation and Friends” is one you sure don’t want to miss. Concert will feature Toledo’s based Gospel Music Group, First Creation, as well as other local musicians and choirs.
First Creation is a contemporary-gospel recording group that was originated 19 years ago in the city of Toledo, Ohio. When its founder, Jerry Boose, realized a void in the gospel music scene in Toledo for the contemporary music sound, he called upon three friends to help establish First Creation.
From the beginning, in 1988, Jerry has maintained that there is a need for ministry among the men of our day that calls for us to remedy with an option of being a messenger for today. First Creation has made the decision to be a group that ministers to the destitution of the hearts and souls everywhere.
Members of the group include: Jerry Boose, Jesse Coleman, Ron Hogue, and William (Redd) Crooks. Each member brings a delightful diversity in vocal sound and musical flexibility that allows for the group to take the listener to a new level of worship, celebration and musical joy.
Jerry Boose is a career firefighter in the city of Toledo and is an ordained associated minister at Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Jesse Coleman first appeared in 1993 with First Creation as a saxophonist and has now become the preaching voice heard on the gospel-style tracks. He is an ordained Pentecostal elder at Friendship Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Ron Hogue brings an excellent energy to the group of four and is an experienced choir vocalist that showcases a range that is unbelievable. Ron is a very diverse talent and is very much welcomed in the group as he brings a smooth sound to the vocals and the overall blend of First Creation sound.
William (Redd) Crooks is the newest member of the group a very talented singer and songwriter. An awesome talent from Chicago in which we truly thank God for.
First Creation has performed throughout the country at various Gospel and Jazz concert venues, Gospel Television Programs (Bobby Jones), Cable TV specials, Church musicals, annual City Festivals and Community Interest Showcases. Another featured accomplishment includes their 4th Gospel cd release entitled “Nobody Like Jesus”.
