For Immediate Release
The Sandusky County Historical Society will host their annual Christmas
Open House on Saturday, December 15, from 1 - 5. The house is decorated in grand fashion for the holidays. “Our volunteers and the Hayes Garden
Club decorate the house, and I’m always amazed at the holiday spectacle they create,” says Frank Eachus, development director for the museum.
Visitors can take in the beautiful decorations, enjoy the refreshments,
and tour the museum. Be sure to bring the kids because the open house will also include a visit from Santa. St. Nick will arrive at 1:30 and stay until
4:00.
Also on the schedule for holiday activities at the museum is their
last tea of the season. Rita Krebs, in the persona of Mrs. Holderman, the
original owner of the 1884 home, will host the Christmas tea on December 20, from 1 until 3 in the afternoon. Those planning on attending the tea are
asked to call 419-684-9184 for reservations.
The Sandusky County Historical Society Museum is located at 514
Birchard Ave., Fremont. Regular hours are 1:00 - 5:00, March through
December.
