Opening Night at Toledo Repertoire Theater’s Tenth Street Stage will be Friday, January 11 at
8 p.m. and will run through Sunday, January 27.

The Story:
When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter, Myrtle Mae, and their family from future embarrassment. Problems arise when Veta herself is mistakenly assumed to be on the verge of lunacy when she explains to doctors that years of living with Elwood’s hallucination have caused her to see Harvey also!
Harvey is directed by Libby Lane, and features actors Jeffrey Albright as Elwood P. Dowd and Carol Erford as Veta.
“No disclaimer needed for Harvey,” Lane notes. “This is truly a play for all ages, so feel free to bring the kids and enjoy the show!”
Harvey begins at 8 p.m. the following nights: January 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 and at 2:30 p.m. for the following matinees: January 20 and 27.

The Tenth Street Stage is located at 16 Tenth Street (at Washington) in downtown Toledo.

Tickets are $18 and are available by calling the Toledo Rep Box Office at 419-243-9277 or by visiting www.toledorep.org. Discounted tickets are available for students on the evenings of the show.
