The very latest in extremely high speed rail transportation will be the focus of a dynamic presentation Thursday, March 27 at 11:45 a.m. at the Toledo Club. The Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) and the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority in partnership with the Indiana High Speed Rail Association, have invited elected officials and business leaders to a presentation that will simulate the experience of riding the rails at more than 360 miles per hour. Speaking and introducing the video will be Charles R. Wochele of Alstom Transport, equipment manufacturers of the French TGV high speed train. Wochele will also discuss the economic benefits of train transportation that can compete with plane travel.
The luncheon and presentation are open to the public. Registration is required and the cost is $20.
