CULTURAL COLLABORATION: 4 DAY FAMILY FEST, ARTS GONE WILD

Toledo, OH—Thirteen non-profit cultural organizations of Toledo have partnered to host a
family festival, Arts Gone Wild, at the Toledo Zoo, Friday, August 8, through Monday,
August 11, 2008. Created to celebrate Toledo’s artistic instincts, Arts Gone Wild combines
performances, exhibitions, activities, and more to introduce residents and visitors to Toledo’s
wealth of cultural experiences and opportunities. A dedicated Web site has been launched at
www.artsgonewild.org, allowing Web visitors to sign up for Arts Gone Wild e-mail updates and
schedule announcements.
Each day of Arts Gone Wild features, from NOON to 4 P.M.:
A signature performance by the Toledo Ballet, the Toledo Opera, the Toledo Repertoire
Theatre, or the Toledo Symphony
Musical performances by Toledo School for the Arts students
Hands-on art activities and artist demonstrations from the Toledo Museum of Art
Audition workshops by the Valentine Theatre
Nature walks led by the Metroparks
Storytelling and puppet shows by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library
Community art project by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo
The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily, and all Arts Gone Wild performances and
activities are included free with regular Zoo admission. Lucas County residents with valid ID
enjoy free Zoo admission on Mondays, between 10 A.M. and NOON.

Arts Gone Wild is a collaboration of the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, Metroparks–Toledo Area, Toledo Ballet, Toledo
Botanical Garden, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Opera, Toledo Repertoire Theatre, Toledo
School for the Arts, Toledo Symphony, Toledo Zoo, Valentine Theatre, and WGTE Public Media.
