On two consecutive Tuesdays, May 13 and May 20, staff attorneys from Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO) and Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) will bring their legal knowledge directly to those who may be facing foreclosure or who are victims of predatory lending.
From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 13 at the Locke Branch Library, and May 20 at the West Toledo Branch Library, attorneys Andrew Neuhauser and Mary Ellen Natale will explain what to look for when getting a home loan; when to refinance a current home loan; and options to protect your home and credit when the foreclosure process begins.
Representatives from the Toledo Fair Housing Center will also provide information on programs available to help families who have become delinquent on mortgage payments.
ABLE and LAWO are nonprofit law firms that provide free, high-quality legal services to eligible low-income residents of northwest Ohio.
