Mud Hens Return Home For 10 Games in 11 Days

The Toledo Mud Hens will return home to the friendly confines of Fifth Third Field on Saturday, June 7 for a stretch of ten (10) games at home over an 11 day period (Saturday-Tuesday). This will be the only opportunity for fans to see the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Toledo will take on Columbus (2 games), Indianapolis (4 games) and Syracuse (4 games).

Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for June 7-17

Saturday, June 7
(Columbus, 1st pitch at 7:0 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – The Mud Hens will host the Columbus Clippers in the opening game of the two-game series. Come out to the park and meet Rubber Boy! Prior to first pitch, there will be a scout parade around the field. Throwing out one of the night’s ceremonial first pitches is the new University of Toledo men’s head basketball coach Gene Cross. Stay after the game for the high school home run derby between Maumee and Genoa and the post-game fireworks show. Saturday is also the second scout sleepover of the season. Sunday, June 8
(Columbus, 1st pitch at 6:30 PM– Gates open at 5:00) – Come out early for team autograph (5:00-5:45) day and stay late for the post-game fireworks show. The Sunday tradition continues as kids are allowed to run the bases following the completion of the game compliments of Applebee’s. The contest between the Hens and the Clippers can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Tuesday, June 10
(Indianapolis, 1st Pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – The Hens open up a four-game series with fellow I.L. West division foe, the Indianapolis Indians. Stay late for the post-game high school home run derby between Defiance, Clay and Toledo Central Catholic high schools. Pre-game acknowledgements include Dick’s Little League Team of the Game: The Sylvan Bobcats. Wednesday, June 11
(Indianapolis, 1st Pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – Fifth Third Field and the Mud Hens are host to Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Night. Ronald McDonald will be in attendance, so stop by for a picture at the guest services booth. Pre-game activities include the first day of the summer baseball camp (10 am to 1:00 pm). The contest between the Hens and the Indians can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Thursday, June 12
(Indianapolis, 1st pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – Don’t forget the leather as you make your way to the ballpark on Thursday. The Hens will host “Hens and Hogs” night with a Harley jersey auction. It will also be Irish American Night and pre-game there will be Irish dancers performing by sections 103-104. Thursday is also the second day of the summer baseball camp (10 am to 1 pm). Post-game activities include the High School Home Run Derby between Hopewell-Loudon, Bath and Cardinal Stritch. Friday, June 13
(Indianapolis, 1st pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – The Hens and the Indians finish up their four game series and welcome a Friday the 13th Scooby Doo appearance. It will be Family and Child Abuse Prevention Night and pre-game activities with YPO Camp. Post-game brings about a summer tradition of fireworks and the third scout sleepover of the season. Saturday, June 14
(Syracuse, 1st Pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – The Syracuse Chiefs come in to town for the first and only time this season for a four game set. Saturday is country western night and the first 2,000 fans will receive cowboy hats. A pre-game scout parade will foreshadow the post-game scout sleepover. A high school home run derby between Rossford and Lake high schools and a post-game fireworks show will occur after the completion of the game. Sunday, June 15
(Syracuse, 1st Pitch at 6:30 PM – Gates open at 5:30) – Bring the dads down to Fifth Third Field for Fathers’ Day. Like always Sunday will bring about pre-game autographs and Applebee’s kids run the bases, but this time with a twist. Dads will be allowed on the field to live their dream of running the bases in a professional ballpark. The first 1,500 dads in the gates will receive a Mud Hens tie clip. Pre-game activities will allow fathers and kids to play catch on the field from 5:45 – 6:00 p.m. Post-game will feature the traditional summer night fireworks show. Monday, June 16
(Syracuse, 1st Pitch at 7:00 PM – Gates open at 6:00) – Come sing karaoke at the Coop-a-Cabana from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and watch the Hens and Chiefs square off for game three of the series. The contest between the Hens and the Chiefs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Tuesday, June 17
(Syracuse, 1st Pitch at 12:00 PM – Gates open at 9:30 AM) – Tuesday is the final game between the Hens and Chiefs. It is also Senior Day and Summer Recreation Day at the ballpark. There will be a pre-game drug education program with special guests from the Mud Hens. The contest between the Hens and the Chiefs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.
