Get your bibs and wet naps ready! The Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is teaming up with Columbia Gas of Ohio and KeyBank to bring “Smoke on the Water – Ribs for the Red Cross.” The event will be held August 1-3 in Promenade Park in downtown Toledo. Each of the three days will follow a theme that will dictate activities and entertainment. Country day is August 1 and will feature Julie Roberts; rock day is August 2 with Eve 6 headlining the entertainment; and family day is August 3.
The downtown riverfront location is the perfect venue to sample mouth watering BBQ ribs from local and national vendors, while enjoying the music from live bands. Come enjoy the weekend with friends at Smoke on the Water and help support the American Red Cross, too!
The event will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 1 and 2, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 3. Admission will be $3 per day, though there is no charge to enter the park before 5 p.m. August 1. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.
