(TOLEDO, OH — June 9, 2008) – Popular recording artist J Moss will be the headline performer at an “Adoption Celebration” concert on June 27, 2008, sponsored by Lucas County Children Services (LCCS) and WIMX-FM, “Mix 95.7.”

The free concert will take place at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, starting at 7 p.m. The Brown Family Singers and the Positive Force praise dance team will open the evening. WIMX-FM host Brandi Brown will emcee the concert.

LCCS is sponsoring the concert to generate awareness of the need for adoptive homes for Lucas County Children. “Right now, there are about 60 children, mostly teens, awaiting the love and security of a forever family,” says Dean Sparks, LCCS Executive Director. “With the help of WIMX and several Toledo-area ministers, we’ll share information about many of these children with the concert audience, in hope that they’ll make a connection with these young people and pursue adoption,” he continues. Children awaiting adoption through LCCS live in foster homes in the Toledo area while caseworkers try to identify the best family to meet their needs.

About J Moss
Born and raised in Detroit as James Moss, the son of Gospel star Bill Moss, Sr., recording artist
J Moss spent much of his childhood on tours with his father’s popular group, Bill Moss and the Celestials, and his cousin’s group The Clark Sisters. As an early teen, Moss sang with his brother Bill Jr. as The Moss Brothers. They toured on weekends around the Midwest and recorded two major label albums during their seven years together.

Moss attended Michigan State University, but quickly developed a successful career in music.
