Tuesday, June 24 - Fairy Day - thru Saturday, June 28, 2008
a time to honor the enchanted nature realms with fairy-special displays, fey fare, music, general merriment and the wearing of faerie costumes, ribbonry & face glitter at work, play and on the streets

The Fey/Fairies/Faeries are nature’s angels
Nature = Gardens, Parks, Creeks, Rivers, Wildlife = Earth
= Us

Tues, June 24: Enchanting the Green Launch: a wee Parade for Fey Folk
Gathering 5:30 p.m. Happy Badger Trading Portal, Fairy Headquarters, corner Clay & North Main Streets. See fairy tree; leave a fairy love letter; photo ops & general portal browsing.

Parade departs 6:00 p.m. and finishes at Wood County District Public Library
Outside: fountain & gardens, entrance to Fairyland; Inside: Fairy Display by Whitehouse nature potter Nancy Beeman & artist Melanie Stinson;
Big Bug and Castle in children’s area. At 7:00 p.m. attend Story Time “Ant”-ics (ages 3-6). Discover faerie through a book or other enchanted readings and see what else is buzzing for the week.

Ongoing Tuesday through Saturday, June 28:
Don’t miss Coyote Beads’ Fairy Window, or the Fairy Dust necklaces and enchanted orbs inside
Squeakers: Enchanted salads, Brownies or Rapunzel “Let Your Hair Down” Smoothies and more
Grounds for Thought: Loch Ness Monster and Black Swamp Blends, Snickerdoodle, Highland Grogg. Enchanted reading and gathering.

More events being planned. Check Fairy Headquarters daily.
Thurs. 4-6 p.m. WCDPL start, moving south. Perrysburg children’s poet and former teacher Yolanda Danyi Szuch will read from her published work as well as popular fairy tales joined by award-winning author and artist Melanie Stinson, reading from The Middle Princess and Jones and other fantasy. Both are members of the Northwest Ohio Writers Forum.

Saturday, June 28, Noon - 4:00 p.m. Fairy Readings at Happy Badger with the Fairy Lady Weaver of Yarns. Fairy insights into life & our s\elves.
Have a question? Ask. Donations appreciated. Fairy homes and other sparkling suprises. Leave a gift for the fairies at the fairy tree!

We hope all visitors will join in making these 5 days enchanted. Strolling troubadours, minstrels, artists, and musicians from anywhere may participate and politely seek tokens of appreciation for their performances.
