One Wild Summer at The Toledo Zoo!

Toledo, OH—Summer is the time when many families make The Toledo Zoo their destination, and with some
terrific events planned, the Zoo is making this summer even more memorable. More details about these events

The Children’s Zoo, Butterflies!, and the Zoo’s Animal Training and Feeding Demonstrations are open!
Come see these family favorites as they return for another year.

July 18 Feast with the Beasts
With a five-course gourmet dinner and a special auction featuring unique and unusual items, this is a great way
to support the Zoo’s mission while savoring some sophistication. Reservations are required in advance; please

July 25 Christmas in July
Join the Zoo for some Yuletide fun in the summertime! Some of your favorite Zoo animals will receive special
presents filled with species-appropriate treats done up with a festive flair. Presented by Fisher-Price.

July 26-27 Fisher-Price Play Weekend
Children from 6 months to 5 years will love exploring the coolest new toys, including the newest Fisher-Price
Power WheelsTM. They’ll also get to meet Diego on the 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Planet Heroes Mars
Digger and Earth Ace on the 27th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There’s also a special Dining with Diego opportunity

July 28 Americans with Disabilities Information Fair
The Zoo will host this information fair, featuring nearly 90 area organizations, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by
and learn about the range of products and services that are available to individuals with disabilities as you

August 8-11 Arts Gone Wild
Celebrate Toledo’s artistic instincts at this four-day summer festival exploring the diverse “species” of cultural
offerings indigenous to this region. Visit www.artsgonewild.org to sign for an e-newsletter that will keep you in
the loop for this exciting new event.

August 15 Rock ’n’ Roar
The summer’s hottest dance party keeps getting bigger, with four bands playing throughout the evening.
Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members, and you must be 21 to attend.

July 13 – August 31 Music Under the Stars
The Toledo Symphony Concert Band returns for its 56th season! Admission is free for this Toledo tradition,
which features some great pops performances in the Zoo’s historic Amphitheatre.

The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof or residency is
