It’s Art to Eat With!

Fremont, Ohio – Nationally known clay artist Kent Follette of Ruston, Louisiana creates pottery to make life a celebration, and he will be celebrating in Northwest Ohio at DaVinci’s Gallery in downtown Fremont on Saturday, July 19 from 10 AM to 3 PM. He will share his passion for beautiful things, tell a few cajun stories, and offer tastes of some of his favorite recipes. Doorprizes include an autographed copy of Follette’s now out-of-print cookbook.

Kent Follette earned a Masters in Fine Art in 1975 and headed the ceramics departments at Loyola University in Chicago and Nicols State in Thibodeaux, Louisiana. With a background in interior design, his wife joined forces with Kent to start the oldest production pottery in the wooded hills of north Louisiana. It is now one of the largest potteries in the south. Their life revolves around good cooking, entertaining, and making fully functional pottery for people to use in their life. They have been featured in Southern Living and Louisiana Life magazines and have been guest chefs on PBS’s “A Taste of Louisiana”.

DaVinci’s Gallery is located on Front Street in downtown Fremont and is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. The gallery features prints, canvases, jewelry, pottery, glass, wood, and other artwork by all North American artists.
