Spaghetti Dinner Benefit
For Hannah Campbell

Hannah Campbell is 6 months old and was recently diagnosed with a deadly disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy or SMA.

Spinal muscular atrophy is a genetic motor neuron disease characterized by the wasting of skeletal muscles. As a result of the progressive degeneration of nerve cells in the spinal cord, the disease leads to increasing muscular weakness and atrophy and premature death from respiratory problems. The SMA Foundation estimates that over 50,000 people currently suffer from SMA in the United States, Europe, and Japan, and that the market potential for a drug to treat SMA ranges from $500 million to $1 billion dollars annually. That is an average of $10,000-$20,000 a family a year. And that’s just medicine alone.

Hannah is the daughter of Donna Taylor and Matt Campbell.
