Pollyball and Pollypalooza Support Breast Cancer Assistance

Toledo, Ohio. To honor Polly Hylant-Tracy, their family member who lost her battle with breast cancer 18 years ago, the Hylant and Tracy family presents Pollyball and Pollypalooza to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and support programs at the YWCA and Reel & Heal.

What: Pollyball: volleyball tournament, fun and food from Rosie’s Italian Grille
Pollypalooza: live bands, food from local restaurants and
the finals of the Pro Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament

Bands: Empire Drift, 2008 NWO Regional Superstar champions
Velvet Jones, Toledo’s premier event band
Zac Brown Band, currently on a national tour with Sugarland and Alan Jackson

Restaurants: Shorty’s, Vito’s Pizza, Blarney, Sori Sushi, Rouge Bistro, Mancy’s Italian and Cold Stone Creamery.

When: Saturday, August 16, 2008
Pollyball 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pollypalooza 5:00 p.m. – midnight

Where: International Park and Volleyball Courts near The Docks on east side of Maumee
River, downtown Toledo

Admission: There is no charge to view the volleyball tournament.
Tickets for Pollypalooza are $10 at the gate. Tickets may be purchased for $8 (cash only) at the YWCA, 1018 Jefferson, until 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 17.
Food and beverages are for sale during day and evening events.


As organizers of this year’s events, the Hylant and Tracy family, YWCA of Greater Toledo and Reel & Heal encourage the entire community to enjoy a day of playing volleyball or just watching and an evening of great music, with food and fun from morning until midnight.
