Performance Group Description
The focus of Mesmeric is on affecting an audience using music, theme & movement and also on the ability to detach from observers in an effort to dance introspectively. Utilizing unusual music remixes, Kaylouise enjoys emphasizing precision, muscle isolation and sychronization in the original choreographies she creates for herself and Mesmeric. With a great respect and appreciation for the foundation of traditional middle eastern belly dance, Kaylouise has been drawn towards the contemporary, urban, fusion movement and transformation that is happening to the belly dance circuit across the U.S. Kaylouise considers her performances and choreographies to be an ART- not bound or restricted… a creation of movement full of beginnings, ending, mood and theme.
