Artist Julie Ann Harrison will teach a Colored Pencil Holiday Card Workshop sponsored by PRIZM Creative Community this coming week. Participants will learn application and color mixing techniques using colored pencils as an artist medium while accomplishing a very useful task. Specifics will be given on how the card may be easily reproduced for Holiday giving.
A daytime and evening session will be offered: Dates are:
Wed. Nov. 5th from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Way Public Library, Rm C&D downstairs, or
Thurs. Nov. 6th, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Maumee Public Library Community Room.

The teacher will provide paper, card, envelope, some designs, and colored pencils which can be borrowed during class time. All participants are to bring a small smooth surface on which to work, white polymer eraser, blue paint tape of any width, a good hand held pencil sharpener, and if they desire their own colored pencils.
Registrants may also want to bring their own holiday design drawn beforehand in the size they will be using on the card, generally no larger than 5” x 5”. If participants are planning to purchase artistic colored pencils please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for teacher recommended materials.
All PRIZM members not planning to participate in the Colored Pencil Workshop may bring their own artistic or literary project and work on the other side of the room at the same scheduled time and location. This weekly PRIZM meeting called FACET (Fine Art Collaborative Education Time) is an opportunity to network, learn new skills, socialize and complete creative projects.
