Posted Oct 27th, 2008 by Jeremy Patrick  Category: Events

The concert is Saturday, November 1st, 2008 at 7pm. It will be held at Sacred Heart Church in East Toledo/Oregon area. The church is located on the corner of Oswald and 6th St.

Jillie Snyder, who is 4, is fighting a rare blood disease known as Diamond Black Fan Anemia. Basically, it causes the body’s bone marrow to produces little to no red blood cells, which must be treated with steroids and/or blood transfusions, which she receives regularly every few weeks. Eventually, her body will begin to refuse the blood transfusions, and there will be no alternative. The only real cure is a bone marrow transplant from an unborn sibling. This procedure has been considered to be the most effective, but comes with a steep price tag at over $250,000, as well as all the procedures that must be undergone before this can even take place. Insurance will not pick up the tab on these procedures. This blood disease only affects around 650 people worldwide.

The concert is Saturday, November 1st, 2008 at 7pm. It will be held at Sacred Heart Church in East Toledo/Oregon area. The church is located on the corner of Oswald and 6th St. I will be performing classical as well as contemporary works on both organ and piano. The program will last between an hour and an hour and a half. There will be an intermission during the program, as well as a cookie and punch social afterwards. The ticket prices are $10, with all proceeds going directly to Jillie. There are no discounts for seniors or minors. The tickets can be purchased online at www.jilliesnyder.org via a credit card or check, or by calling me up at (419) 707-0219 and paying by either cash or check. Checks should be made out to Jillie Snyder Fund. If the money is not received or tickets are not purchased in time for the tickets to be mailed out in a timely fashion (in time for the concert), there will be a master roster which everyone who has purchased a ticket will be on, and will need to simply check in when entering the church so that they may be checked off the list, as well as any guests and/or spouse they may have, so tickets may not be necessary, but requested. There will be a limited number of tickets at the door.
