The Honorable Ohio State Senator Mark Wagoner (R, Toledo), is scheduled to experience the other side of the Library Circulation desk on Tuesday, November 25, when he serves as a “Very Special Guest Librarian” at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.

The Senator, whose hometown is Toledo, is scheduled to assist patrons with checking out their books and other materials from noon to 1 p.m. at Main Library, 325 Michigan St.

Clyde Scoles, Library Director, said Library officials plan to schedule more “VSG Librarians” in the future to assist with daily library activities. “This is such a great opportunity for the community, and especially our youth, to see familiar community members in an up close and personal fashion. Senator Wagoner has always been a strong supporter of public libraries and literacy. Our Circulation staff and administrators are very excited to have Senator Wagoner on hand to assist them. Our patrons are in for a real treat.”

Senator Wagoner serves the 2nd District and also works as an attorney. For more information on Senator Wagoner, please log on to www.senate.state.oh.us.
