What is Judaism?
The Sylvania Branch Library, 6749 Monroe St, located in Sylvania, Ohio presents a free program titled “What is Judaism?” scheduled at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 4.
Howard Friedman, of the United Jewish Council of Greater Toledo, will discuss holidays, customs and religious beliefs of the Jewish community. Friedman will also give a glimpse into the demographics of the Jewish community in the Toledo area and describe some of the synagogues and Jewish institutions located here.
Those attending this exciting program will have a chance to sample some food items related to Jewish holiday celebrations and listen to a bit of Jewish music as well!
The Sylvania Branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library requests that participants call 419.882.2089 to make a reservation.
