[Maumee], Ohio – Walkers, women and local artists from northwest Ohio come together to raise money for people with multiple sclerosis. Every hour someone is newly diagnosed with MS. Join the movement!
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northwest Ohio Chapter, celebrates MS Awareness Month with a variety of activities including MS Awareness Week March 2-8th , The Women on the Move Luncheon, The MS Jam and the 20th Walk MS: Toledo
“Many have trouble imagining what their lives would be without being able to move,” said Jacque Pratt, Chapter President. “People living with MS understand that moving isn’t always a guarantee and MS Awareness Month is an opportunity for everyone who wants to do something about MS now to get involved.”
The month of March starts off with MS Awareness Week, March 2 – 8. During this week, over 3,400 people living with MS everyday in Northwest Ohio, work together to create a world free of MS.
March 19th – Austin Carty from the CBS Survivor series is the keynote speaker for the Women on the Move luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn, Levis Commons in Perrysburg
March 21st – 11 Bands and performers for Northwest Ohio will help raise money to fight MS at the 6th Annual MS Jam at their new location – Tam O’ Shanter Fieldhouse in Sylvania from noon to 11:00 PM
March 29th – Join over 1,000 walkers during the 20th Anniversary Walk MS: Toledo at the University of Toledo Health Education Building.
“We are encouraging people to join the movement to move us closer to a world free of MS,” said Pratt.
