TOLEDO – The Toledo Mud Hens will be hosting a Select-A-Seat event on Saturday, March 7 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.

Select-A-Seat is a free event to give potential season ticket package buyers the opportunity to visit Fifth Third Field and select their seats for the 2009 season. Packages are available for as low as $8.00 per game and the Hens have 18, 36, 54 and 72 game plans available as well as flexible custom plans. All ticket packages include Opening Day.

Each fan will be taken on a one-on-one guided tour of Fifth Third Field in order to pick out their favorite seat. A Mud Hen “Ticket Coach” will escort the fan and answer any questions to ensure fans get the plan that best fits their needs.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for fans to get in the park and decide exactly where they would like to sit during the 2009 season. We look forward to seeing many new faces at Fifth Third Field next Saturday as we close in on the start of the eighth season downtown,” said Assistant General Manager/Ticket Sales & Operations Erik Ibsen.

Fans who take part in the Select-A-Seat event will also be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Mud Hens’ Clubhouse, Larry Parrish’s office, and the dugout.

All attendees will be entered to win great gifts including four (4) tickets to a 2009 Detroit Tigers game, an autographed team baseball, and the chance to throw out the first pitch at an upcoming Mud Hens’ home game.

This event is for prospective NEW season ticket holders, however, current season ticket holders are also welcome to come down to improve their seat locations.

Fans that would like to participate in the Select-A-Seat event should enter through the Swamp Shop on Washington Street.

Opening Day at Fifth Third Field is Thursday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. versus the Columbus Clippers.
