Jermey Hampton a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, was chosen as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Ohio Youth of the Year during an awards ceremony Saturday, April 25th, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg. Jermey has been a member of the Homer Hanham Unit for ten years and will graduate from Libbey High School in the spring. He’ll attend the University of Toledo.

“While some consider the Clubs as their home-away-from-home,” Hampton said, “for a long time I considered it my only home. And these were the keys,” he said holding up his Club membership cards.

He will now compete for Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year. The YOY is sponsored by Readers Digest and Darden Restaurants.
