Social Media Breakfast Toledo Asks: Who’s Talking About You?

TOLEDO, Ohio, April 29, 2009 – The founder of one of the leading providers of online and social media monitoring and measurement tools will be in Toledo to talk to the May 1 meeting for Social Media Breakfast-Toledo.

Techrigy Founder/President Aaron Newman will discuss the social media platforms and monitoring tools available; brand names, trends and other examples of what can be monitored; ways to measure and analyze your results and related topics.

Social Media Breakfast-Toledo #2 is 7:30-9:30 a.m., May 1, at Toledo Elks Lodge #53, 3520 Holland-Sylvania Road, Toledo. Registration by or on 5 p.m., April 29 is $15, and $20 afterwards. To pre-register, visit http://smbtoledo.eventbrite.com. Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants.

“At our first breakfast, discussion included the importance of online reviews, and how blog posts and other mentions of your company in social media can affect your reputation. That’s why it is important for owners of businesses monitor what people are saying about their company online,” said Kevin Cesarz, president/founder of CZSpeak, a Toledo-based social media consultant, and a founding member of Social Media Breakfast-Toledo.

Newman founded Techrigy, Rochester, N.Y., in 2006 to help businesses provide visibility into what people are saying in social media about their brands, products and competitors. He is a serial entrepreneur, having previously founded two successful startups, DbSecure and Application Security Inc.

He is an international speaker on technology topics, and has authored several patents in database security and social media.

Social Media Breakfast-Toledo is typically scheduled for the first Friday of every month. The breakfasts are designed to enable marketers, PR professionals, entrepreneurs, bloggers, new media fanatics, social media practitioners and others interested in communication to meet, eat, meet, share and learn about social media.

The Social Media Breakfast series began in Boston in August 2007 and has spread to more than a dozen cities throughout the United States, as well as in Canada and Singapore.
