Wizard of Oz
Presented on Screen and Stage at same time
The HISTORIC Ohio Theatre in conjunction with Dynamic Tension, Inc is proud to present the 1939 American musical fantasy film, “Wizard of Oz”. The show will be presented 2 nights in a row, May 22 & 23 at 8PM at the Ohio Theatre, 3114 Lagrange St, Toledo, OH. Not only will the film be shown on the 620 sq. ft. screen, but actors and actresses will be acting out different scenes throughout the film. Over 30 local children and several adults have been rehearsing their parts since the end of February.
Relive your youth as we take our journey from the farm lands of Kansas to the Emerald city of Oz by following the “yellow brick road”. Be amused as Dorothy befriends a scarecrow with no brain, a tin man with no heart, and a lion with no courage. Experience again the amazement of Dorothy as she first meets Glenda the good witch of the north, the Munchkins of Oz, and then the wicked witch of the west.
This musical has entertained generations going on 70 years now and is considered one of the top ten best movies of all-time in various critics’ and popular poles. We encourage very one to take a break from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and return with us to the land “over the rainbow”.
Tickets are $10.00 per person; children under age of 6 are admitted free.
