44th Annual Crosby Festival of the Arts

Crosby Festival of the Arts has always been known as our region’s original, premiere fine arts festival. 2009 marks the 44th year and will continue the tradition of quality and originality of art offered. Festival-goers will see stunning work in ten different mediums from many exciting new artists as well as their returning favorites. In addition to the exquisite artwork from over 240 artists (a list of participating artists can be found at toledogarden.org), visitors will enjoy live entertainment throughout the weekend, a delicious selection of edibles, children’s activities in the Children’s Artistic Playhouse, beer and wine available for purchase throughout the weekend, and much more!

Festival Facts
-10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27
-10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28
-Admission is $7 or $10 for a two-day pass
-Tickets available now at all Andersons retail stores
-Children 12 and under and TBG members get in free
-Free parking and round-trip shuttle service is available at Wal-Mart at the corner of Central Avenue and Holland-Sylvania Road
-Scooters available for rent for those with limited mobility
-The Bancroft Street entrance to Toledo Botanical Garden will be closed to the public during the festival to accommodate the artists

The Gala Preview Party will be held Friday, June 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to having the first opportunity to purchase works of art while leisurely browsing the artist booths, guests will enjoy grazing, catered by Gladieux, cocktails, and live music from Toledo School for the Arts’ Glass City Steel steel drum band, and Kelly Broadway. Tickets for the Preview Party are $75 and are available by calling TBG at (419) 536-5597.

Visit Toledo Botanical Garden and enrich your life with over 60 acres of serene landscapes and picturesque gardens alive with color and fragrance. Explore the Artists Village and the outdoor sculpture collection, or take advantage of one of the many cultural events offered throughout the year. Open daily year-round, admission is free (except for during certain special events) and always inspirational.

Toledo Botanical Garden, a public/private partnership between the Metroparks of the Toledo Area and the Toledo Botanical Board, Inc. in collaboration with the City of Toledo, is open seven days a week during daylight hours with no admission fee, except during certain special events. The Garden is located at 5403 Elmer Dr., between Reynolds and Holland-Sylvania roads, just south of Central Avenue. Visitors may also enter from Bancroft Street although there is no vehicular access to the north side of the Garden from the Bancroft entrance.
