Village Players Theatre Present The Real Inspector Hound

Come join the Village Players Theatre for our summer show with The Real Inspector Hound, which is written by Tom Stoppard and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Two theatre critics, Moon and Birdboot, are watching and commenting upon a corny country-house mystery, the cliché-sodden whodunnit. Yet at an early stage the theatrical levels begin to blur, as Moon claims to have seen Birdboot out on the town with Felicity, one of the fictional females. Midway through–when nobody else is onstage–Birdboot ventures to answer the persistently ringing stage-phone only to find it is his real wife who is speaking (possibly suspecting his fictive flirtations). Once “onstage,” he gets caught up in an embarrassing barney with Felicity and hilarity ensues.

J. Judson Lohman will direct The Real Inspector Hound. Tickets are available by calling the ticket service at (419) 472-6817 or at the box office. The show will run July 10th – 18th, 2009 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday, July 12 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $10 for General Admission. Season tickets, gift certificates and Adopt-A-Seats are available.
