Guests can watch the sun set, the stars shine and the city lights sparkle when National City now a part of PNC and the Library Legacy Foundation present the sixth annual A Midsummer Night Up On The Roof on Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. at Main Library, 325 Michigan St.

A Midsummer Night is an important fundraiser that supports Youth Services at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library. The benefit will take place on the rooftop Civic Plaza of Main Library, where guests can enjoy the outstanding panoramic view of downtown Toledo. The view of Toledo city lights coupled with music, dancing, fundraising prizes and surprises, and fun come together to create the perfect summer night, rain or shine!

Tickets to A Midsummer Night are $75 each, with free parking. Participants of this fundraiser will experience some high-tech interactive games designed for fun and revealing answers. The event features a cash bar, grazing delicacies, dancing to the tunes provided by Hepcat Revival and plenty of surprises. Casual cocktail attire is recommended; however, no ties are allowed! In addition to Hepcat Revival, the Urban Jazz Collective from Toledo School for the Arts will welcome guests as they arrive.

Proceeds from A Midsummer Night will benefit the Library’s Summer Reading Club for children and teens and other important programs for young people. The Library Legacy Foundation is the largest underwriter for the Summer Reading Club.

Event Chairs for this year’s A Midsummer Night are Denny and Sheila Johnson and Honorary Chairs are John and Jeanie Hayward and Bob and Kathie Maxwell.

Along with presenting sponsor National City now a part of PNC, major sponsors of A Midsummer Night Up on the Roof are Ellen and Jamie Black, Brooks Insurance Agency, John and Jeanie Hayward, Buckeye CableSystem, DiSalle Real Estate Company, ProMedica Health System, and The William Fall Group.
