U.S. Air Force Band of Flight to Perform in Lakeside, Ohio

Lakeside, Ohio – Hoover Auditorium, one of the cultural hot spots on Lake Erie, hosts a variety of musicians, comedians, illusionists, dancers and bands nightly. This year, the historic auditorium will host acts such as Chapter 6, Melissa Manchester, Phil Keaggy and Fernando Ortega, OSU Alumni Band, the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra, Debby Boone and the 60th Anniversary Barbershop Quartet Festival. Daily fun and family entertainment await guests of all ages in Lakeside.

The United States Air Force Band of Flight is slated to perform in Lakeside’s Hoover Auditorium at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5.

The concert band is the largest and most versatile unit of the United States Air Force Band of Flight. Under the direction of Major R. Michael Mench, the band entertains thousands each year with its dynamic performances and varied repertoire ranging from classical symphonic compositions and military marches to Broadway show tunes and popular contemporary music. The concert band is in constant demand at community, military and educational events.

The United States Air Force Band of Flight is one of 12 bands in the United States Air Force. The band’s purpose is to support the global Air Force mission in war and peace, by fostering national heritage and providing professional musical services for official military recruiting and community events.

Gate pass admission is free to the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight. The free gate pass admission is valid for the evening concert only, from 7-11 p.m. There is a $7 parking fee. Children 12 years and under and guests 90 years and older are always free.
