The Toledo Symphony (TSO) is performing with Time for Three (TFT) on October 17th at the Stranahan Theater. Bowling Green native Zachary (Zach) De Pue is one of the three young men in the group. He along with Nicolas (Nick) Kendall plays the violin and Ranaan Meyer on the double bass.

TFT is a charismatic ensemble that plays with no musical boundaries. Their unique style is a combination of high energy improvisation and original compositions. The trio is committed to reaching a younger audience and has participated in numerous educational and outreach programs including Paul Newman’s Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, which raised over $8 million.

The 2009-2010 season is a jam packed year for the group. Some of their highlights include appearances with the Baltimore, Boston, and Indianapolis Symphonies. They will also grow and further their outreach commitment by starting a multi-year residency with the Indianapolis Symphony and will make their Carnegie Hall debut on the Family Series.

“My first solo experiences were in the greater Toledo area, and the most memorable from my childhood, of course, was my solo debut with the Toledo Symphony in 1994. I remember being so excited for that performance, and it really was a catalyst for my serious violin studies. Seeing the outcome of my hard work come to life in front of 2000 peers is still a thrill for me to this day. I am incredibly honored and excited 15 years later to return with Time for Three to perform with the Toledo Symphony this October.”
