Haunted Hydro Dark Attraction Park

Northwest Ohio’s longest running and most authentic Halloween event celebrates their 20th Anniversary this year. It is built in and around a massive Hydro Electric Power Plant that was constructed in 1911 and used by the city to generate power until 1943. It is a unique historic structure that draws thousands of people from all over Ohio and surrounding states. It even drew two paranormal investigation teams with all their high tech equipment to see if we were REALLY haunted. Both teams found several unexplained readings and several spikes and EVP’s. So…the Haunted Hydro might actually be REALLY haunted. The Hydro has won many National awards and recognitions for their operations. Owners, Bob and Beth Turner train their actors in a style of entertaining they call HAUNTERTAINING which features heavy emphasis on makeup, costuming and creative character development. Combine this training with their realistic, high-tech and detailed sets and you have a complete entertainment experience unlike any in the area. The park features 2 Haunted Houses, Wheel of Fortune/Misfortune patron interactive game show, Paintball, Tarot Card Readings, Hit the Haunted Hooptie for charity, merchants and food concessions. This years theme is the“20th Year Ghoul-A-Bration” with the Hydro being called “Your Worst Nightmare” and the second haunted house is “Industrial Mayhem”. To commemorate their 20th Anniversary, there will be a nightly “Ghoul-A-Bration” show that will take place from 7:00pm – 7:30pm that will feature a Monster Parade, Hauntertainer Dance Performance, Fire Eating Show and fun interactive crowd activities including prizes. The park opens Oct. 2 – Oct. 31 and is open for 14 weekend nights. We recommend our event for ages 9 and above. We also offer 3 FRIENDLY MONSTER SUNDAY MATINEE shows for the families with underage children that love Halloween and dress-up but are not quite ready for our night scare event. All of this seasons information will be available on our website at or call us at 419-332-7380 for more information.
