Theater Vision opens 25th Season with Stellaluna

On Tuesday, October 13, Stellaluna flies into the Franciscan Theatre of Lourdes College in a story about a baby fruit bat finding her way through the world. Produced and performed by Kid’s Entertainment, the company which brought audience favorites Goodnight Moon and the Runaway Bunny and the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Stellaluna tells the tale of celebrating diversity.

Stellaluna’s life takes on a complicated beginning when one night she is knocked from her mother’s loving grasp by an owl. In a stroke of luck, Stellaluna lands in a nest of baby birds. However, if she wants to stay with her new adoptive family she must learn to act like a bird, not a bat. When Stellaluna finally has an opportunity to show her bird family what life as a bat is like, all of them are amazed and celebrate the uniqueness of their new friend.

Audiences can see Stellaluna at 10 a.m. Tickets $8 per student. Call 419-824-3986 or visit www.lourdes.edu/theater for more information.
