Westfield Franklin Park is delivering a fantastic holiday season with its 12 Days of Shopping celebration. Every weekend, from November 27 through December 20, each day delivers unique offers, contests, activities, giveaways and more. And Sunday November 29 is one of the fabulous days.

Bundle up and bring family and friends to celebrate the season at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Westfield Franklin Park on Sunday, November 29. The festivities begin at 4pm and the tree lights will be turned on at 6:15pm.

The annual event is with holiday fun for the whole family from 4pm to 7pm. Be sure to arrive in time for the “Iron Chef” competition starting at 4pm. Chef Jenn from Claddagh Irish Pub and Chef Jeremy with Bravo! Italiano Cucina will compete for bragging rights and culinary accomplishment. Marty Kokotaylo, Williams-Sonoma’s own Chef, will provide color commentary throughout this exciting contest.

The tasty celebration includes tasty samples from Williams-Sonoma, Claddagh Irish Pub, Bravo! Italiano Cucina and Auntie Anne’s. The mascot from the Toledo Zoo will meet and greet fans, and the kids will have fun with a hands-on project from Imagination Station. Everyone will thrill to the talents of local ice carvers as they demonstrate their exemplary skills.

Plus Santa is expected to arrive at 6pm, just before the tree lighting and mayor-elect Mike Bell will be a special guest for the exciting festivities. WTVG channel 13abc will be on site and will air the breathtaking event live at 6:15 pm as the honorary tree lighters, Make-A-Wish child Jacob and his family from Lima, officially light the tree. In keeping with tradition, now through the holidays the tree lights will be synchronized to ‘dance’ to the music on WRQN 93.5. Simply tune in to experience the classic sounds and sights of the holidays.
