After your visit to Old Navy, open on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 7pm, put the leftovers away early and get a good night’s sleep because the holiday season officially kicks off bright and early on Friday, November 27 at Westfield Franklin Park. All season long Westfield Franklin Park is hosting the 12 Days of Shopping. Taking place every weekend from November 27 through December 20, this celebration offers exclusive savings, giveaways, special offers and more. To kick off the fun, on Friday, November 27, shoppers can register to win a $5,000 shopping spree!

The fun begins on Friday, November 27 with the 3am openings of popular stores Old Navy and Ulta. At 4am Aeropostale and JCPenney will greet shoppers. Eleven more stores will open at 5am, including Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The shopping fun continues as the rest of the mall opens at 6am.

The 12 Days of Shopping kicks off at 6am, when Star 105 will be hosting a toy drive in the Food Court until 6pm. Please help local needy children by donating a new, unwrapped toy. The first 500 people to stop by the toy drive with a receipt from a store or eatery inside the shopping center will get a free goody bag filled with a holiday receipt organizer, courtesy of Real Simple magazine, coupons and more.

In addition to the Star 105 toy drive, Westfield Franklin Park invites shoppers to support area charities in a number of ways. From November 27 through December 6 for just $10 each or 3 for $20 shoppers can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Metallic Orange 2010 2SS Camero. The money benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is sponsored by UAW Local 14 & GM. You also get the personal gratification of knowing the purchase helps seriously ill local children.

Now through December 24, the Salvation Army kettle will be located at the Monroe Street entrance near Olga’s Kitchen. There is also a Salvation Army Angel Tree now through December 6 at the Westfield Concierge.

Santa will be in his seasonal home in Macy’s Court through Christmas Eve, visiting with children Monday through Friday from 10am to 9pm and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. He will take breaks from 1 to 2pm and 5 to 6pm. The line to visit is subject to close prior to breaks so that everyone can see Santa. Please visit for hours, package pricing and events.

Westfield Franklin Park, the area’s premiere destination for shopping, dining and family entertainment, features over 140 stores, including Borders, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillard’s and JCPenney; full-service restaurants such as Bravo!, Cucina and Elephant Bar; a Food Court and a 16-screen Cinema De Lux.
