Five-part webinar series to focus on key social media tools for growing small businesses

Patrick Giammarco, owner of PWG Small Business Marketing and northwest Ohio’s only Authorized Duct Tape Marketing Coach, today announced training dates for the Social Media Pro™ training program.

Session dates for the first quarter of 2010 are:

Tuesday, January 12, 19 and 26, 2010
Tuesday, February 2 and 9, 2010

All sessions are held 2-3 p.m. EST.

“Social media is not simply today’s trendy marketing play; it’s here to stay and has impacted every aspect of marketing and growing a business“, said Patrick Giammarco.

Social Media Pro is a step-by-step guide created by John Jantsch, founder of the Duct Tape Marketing System and one of the leading small business social media marketing experts. “The true value of Social Media Pro is that it combines coaching, strategy, feedback and accountability with a full set of online tutorials and training to deliver the practical know how so important to the success of the small business,” says Giammarco.

The end result for small businesses is the creation of a social media system which effectively and efficiently adds social media to their marketing plan.

Session One – Creating a Social Media Strategy
Before choosing your social media tactics you need to align your activities with your objectives. One of the best ways to do this is to listen first. In this session a social media listening station is started.

Session Two – Optimizing Brand Assets
Social media sites afford a great opportunity to create outposts for content. This session will look at the best ways to create and optimize profiles and other social media real estate.

Session Three – Blogging for Business
This session dives deeply into why every small business should consider a blog the central hub of their social media strategy. Best practices are included.

Session Four – Social Networking and Networks
Creating profiles on the major social networking sites is not enough. Session four covers best practices for creating engagement on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Session Five – Managing the Beast
The burden of attempting to keep up with the set of actions required to participate fully in social media can overwhelm. In this session we bring it all together by creating a social media system and balance input with ROI.
