Urban Forest Project Toledo

Urban Forest Project Toledo is the unveiling and exhibition of 50 winning banners designed by area artists & selected out of over 140 entries, to grace the light posts in downtown Toledo in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day this April. The beautiful wood work of artist Rick Rickman will also be displayed. Show dates are Jan 22 – Feb 19. Opening night is Fri Jan 22, 7-10pm. Hrs: Tues-Fri, 11-5; Sat 12-4. Space 237, 237 N. This project is being presented by AIGA Toledo in collaboration with SWEAT, and funded by the City of Toledo’s 1% for Art Program, administered by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. The Urban Forest Project, conceived by Worldstudio and developed in conjunction with AIGA NY and Times Square Alliance, was first executed in New York’s Times Square in the fall of 2006.
