PRIZM Creative Community is sponsoring a workshop called “ Understanding Digital Camera Basics.” Participants can choose one of two sessions offered. The daytime session will be offered from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10 and a weekend version of the class will be offered on Sat. March 13th from 1-3 p.m. Both classes will be held at the Way Public Library Computer Laboratory 101 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg. Lee Gagle, instructor for the workshop will explain how digital cameras differ from other cameras in areas such as focusing, storage and retrieval of pictures. He will answer questions about various functions of digital cameras. Transfer and storage of photos to your computer, using jpeg images and basic photo editing will be covered.
For photo editing, participants will use PICASA software available in The Way Library computer lab. PICASA is free software offered by Google. Prior to the workshop, Mr. Gagle encourages participants to download and explore the latest edition for PICASA (3.6) at www.picasa.google.com.

For the workshop participants should bring their personal digital camera as well as some digital photos on a portable digital storage device, either a memory card or flash drive. Fee for the class is $5.00 for PRIZM members and $10.00 for non-members. To register please contact Ed Marks, at 419-874-9422.
Mr. Gagle retired as Systems Director from The Toledo Blade in 1996. He remains an active community volunteer and teaches a variety of computer classes at the Way Public Library. Lee and his wife Sue reside in Perrysburg. They have four adult children and several grandchildren who also live in this area.
