Lourdes College choral concert recognizes service men and women

Live performances will cover variety of musical genres

The Lourdes College Choirs will present their annual spring choral concert on Sunday, May 2. The event will be held in the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center at 7 p.m. This year’s concert is titled “In Glory and Honor” and features sacred and secular music of grace, remembrance, blessing and celebration. This event is free and open to the public.

Composers represented include Michael Haydn, Henry Purcell, Gilbert Martin, Andre Thomas, Robert Young, Stephen Chatman, Cy Coleman, and more. The concert will feature music in a variety of styles including classical, contemporary, folk and vocal jazz works.

As a special tribute to the men and women serving overseas, the public is invited to submit names of loved ones which will be read aloud throughout the duration of the concert.
