JUNIOR JAZZ JAM IV @ Main Library – Wednesday, April 28

Join the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and Toledo Public Schools’ junior high and middle school jazz ensembles for a presentation titled Junior Jazz Jam IVscheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 in the Wintergarden of Main Library, 325 Michigan Street.

Byrnedale and DeVeaux school jazz ensembles are scheduled to perform various selections, including Duke Ellington favorites to the music from Peter Gunn, at this FREE concert event, now in its fourth year.

Junior Jazz Jam at Main Library is arranged by Dan Welch, the Toledo Public School system’s small jazz ensemble director, who first proposed the idea to Library officials.

“This is a great opportunity and unique location for our junior high students to showcase their musical talents in jazz performance,” said Mr. Welch.

The public is invited to attend. Underground parking is free for the first hour at Main Library. Please validate your parking ticket in the Central Court area of Main Library. After listening to jazz, please visit the Library Café and buy a bite to eat, go shopping at the Friends of the Library’s Classic’s Gift Shop and use your Library card or keychain tag card to check out items during your visit to Main Library.
