Kick-off fundraiser to support each other during May

On May 6, the Perrysburg High School Bands will join with a local business, Ed & Mitzi’s Uptown Diner, to kick off their 2nd annual “Band Together” fundraiser, designed to raise money for the band program as well as support a local business in Historic Perrysburg.

Join the band at Ed & Mitzi’s during the Perrysburg Farmer’s Market on Thursday, May 6 for their kick-off dinner at 5 p.m., or anytime throughout the entire month of May and support both a local business and a high school music program. Mention the PHS Band and Ed & Mitzi’s will donate 15% of your meal purchase to the band. Come out on Fridays and enjoy the “Big Band BBQ Special”. The BBQ chicken dinner is a new item on the menu this year and only available on Fridays, and only during this event.

The PHS Band program is a nationally recognized program of excellence and consists of Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Drumline and Pep Band. Over 150 students, teachers and parents dedicate their time and talent every year, making Perrysburg one of “The Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America”.

Ed & Mitzi’s Uptown Diner is a locally owned and operated restaurant specializing in authentic Hungarian dishes as well as traditional American fare and hearty breakfasts served all day, everyday. The Uptown Diner is located at 220 Louisiana Ave, Perrysburg, Ohio for dine in or take-out. They can be reached at 419.873.1926 or by fax at 419.873.1954.
