PRIZM Printmaking Workshop by Mania Dajnak – May 8th

Join PRIZM Creative Community on Saturday May 8, 1:00-4:00 p.m. for a Introduction to
Printmaking workshop taught by Mania Dajnak at Studio M Printmakers 3rd floor studio, 320
North Michigan Ave, Toledo. The workshop is designed to give participants a quick exposure to printmaking processes including monoprint, silk screen, engraving, and woodcut. During the afternoon, group and individual projects will be completed with participants taking home prints from each project. Fees for the workshop are $25.00 for PRIZM members and $30.00 for guests and include costs of print making paper, tools and inks. To register please call Brian Heller 419- 872-5144. Instructor Mania Dajnak is a resident of Perrysburg, OH. She owns and operates Studio M Printmakers. Her personal works often combine printmaking and drawing techniques in large scale abstract works and have been shown in over 100 exhibitions at galleries and museums nationally. Studio M Printmakers provides opportunities for those who want to explore printmaking including open studio hours, instruction, and gallery space.

Ms. Dajnak holds a BFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Among her awards are a Fulbright Grant to Poland and an individual artist grant from the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts. Ms. Dajnak has taught art and art history at local colleges and universities for 15 years and currently on faculty in the art departments of The University of Toledo and Owens Community College.

PRIZM Creative Community is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization currently receiving partial
