Sylvania Arts and Crafts Festival

The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce announces that the annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on September 12, 2010 at Lourdes College, 6832 Convent Blvd. Sylvania, Ohio. The festival, one of the largest one-day events in the country will be held from 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM and features over 200 juried arts and craft artisans from all over the United States.

The last call for artist’s registrations is July 28, 2010 and a 10 x 20 booth is $135.00. Show set-up takes place on September 11 and check-in begins at 6:00 AM the day before. Merchants must provide their own tables and tents. Reservations and booth assignment are taken and awarded on a first come basis. Festival applications can be downloaded from the chamber website www.sylvaniachamber.org. or to request an art festival application, please call 419-882-2135.

The Arts and Crafts Festival, which is the major funding source for the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, is a partnership between the chamber, The Sisters of St. Francis, Lourdes College and local businesses who come forward to be major sponsors and donors. Funds from the show are used to fund community projects in the Sylvania area.

The juried festival awards best of show winners in the categories of fine arts and crafts. The festival’s high quality exhibitions and accessible parking make it the highlight of the fall season.

The Chamber Arts Festival will also feature regional entertainment, refreshments and an expanded children’s area. Admission is $2.00 per person which supports the Sisters of St. Francis and free parking is available in the Sylvania Northview parking lot. Shuttle services are available from Northview High School, downtown Sylvania and Harroun Park.

This year the Arts Festival is presented by The Toledo Blade, Buckeye CableSystem, Lamar Outdoor Advertising and the City of Sylvania in partnership with the Sisters of St. Francis, Lourdes College, Kingston-Sylvania and Paramount Health Care.
