We’re excited to announce Vintage Aerial, the Cigar Lounge and BlackSheep Gallery as the first of what we believe will be several new tenants at Levis” stated Rod Bowe, Director of Asset Management of Dillin Properties at Levis Commons. “The atmosphere at Levis Commons combined with the strong line-up of national retailers makes this a destination and a strong place to start a new business.”

Vintage Aerial, recently spotlighted in the Blade for it’s remarkable archive of over 25 million aerial photographs of rural America choose Levis Commons as its new corporate headquarters. Vintage Aerial is a small group of historians and technology experts who created a business to share a passion for preserving the heritage of rural America. The collection of over 25 million photographs spans the second half of the 20th century, documenting a time in American history when life revolved around rural communities and small farms.

Vintage Aerial uses the latest in digital imaging and data storage technology to preserve these irreplaceable visual heirlooms. “We are saving yesterday’s memories with today’s technology, for the tomorrows to come,” said Fritz Byers, CEO of Vintage Aerial. “We chose Levis Commons because it was a good fit for our company and we enjoy the small community feel.”

BlackSheep Photography Gallery will hold a Grand Opening on November 9th from 4-8pm featuring photographs from Cheryl Hardy’s collection. Prices start around $35 for a 1×1 photograph and the Grand Opening is open to the public.

“People buy art every day and in many cases they have no idea where it came from or who took it,” said Cheryl Hardy, photographer and owner of BlackSheep Photography Gallery. “BlackSheep offers photography with a story – meet the photographer, hear the story behind the photo that’s going to hang on your wall or that you’re giving as a gift.”

Black Sheep Gallery plans to feature multiple local artists – including outdoor art. Artists from around the region will be welcome to exhibit at Black Sheep Gallery as featured artists. “We’re trying to create our own little hub of activity on Chappel Drive at Levis Commons,” Hardy mentioned. “With the creative energy of Fiddlestix, C Sterling, Bartz and Woodard all right here, the addition of a Gallery is a nice compliment to their daily business. Also, we’re right on a corner with a huge outdoor space and big windows – we’re going to use that to our advantage with outdoor art and attract people down Chappel Drive.”

BlackSheep Photography Gallery is tucked in to the last building on the west side of Chappel Drive, but is easily recognized by the black and pink striped awnings. The Gallery is open Monday-Thursday 9-4 and evenings and weekends by appointment. Visit www.BlackSheepPhotography.com for more information.

Larry Dillin commented on the new additions by saying, “We’re excited to have these new businesses choose Levis as their address. We continue to add tenants and grow to meet the demands of the consumers and the community as a whole. These companies are an excellent addition to our mix.”
