Chamber Music Toledo Announces 2010-2011 Season

THEME: Tower Brass Quintet Holiday Concert

This CMT program embraces a full spectrum of holiday music, including classical and sacred music, brass ensemble arrangements of well-known traditional Christmas carols and jazz renditions of popular tunes of the season. Featured is the return of “Emma’s Christmas,” the delightful story by Irene Trivas that was set to music by Tower Brass tubist, David Saygers. WGTE’s Classical Music Director, Brad Cresswell, will act as narrator.

“CMT was founded by Greg Kostraba in 2007,” said Cheryl Trace, the newly appointed Artistic Director. “We are pleased to continue his dedication to increasing interest in chamber music by presenting live performances at an affordable cost. Our goal is to present friendly and accessible music that can be enjoyed at many levels.” Trace, very active in the Toledo music community, plays violin and viola for Toledo Symphony, Apollo’s Fire and ZIN String Quartet. She also teaches Suzuki violin at the Toledo Symphony School of Music.
