The University of Toledo Student Union will turn into a catwalk on Friday, Feb. 25 when the Black Student Union hosts the 40th Annual Fashion Show.

The theme this year is “The Elements of Fashion: 7 Deadly Sins,” so if you’re looking to find out what will be hot this spring, the Student Union Auditorium is the place to be at 6 p.m. Friday.

“The fashion show is open to the entire University community and we encourage everyone to attend,” said Andreya M. Williams, vice president of the Black Student Union. “This is a great way to show campus unity to come together and enjoy an evening of fashion and fun.”

The fashion show is the Black Student Union’s largest fundraiser. All proceeds will go to the student organization’s annual scholarship fund.

“This year, just like in years past, we will award two scholarships. Each scholarship is worth $500 dollars,” Williams said. “This year we had a total of 12 applications and students had to submit an application along with a one page essay. We are proud to be able to award another scholarship to two deserving students again this year.”

Tickets are available at Rocket Copy in the Student Union. General admission is $10 with a $12 VIP table option if purchased in advance. Tickets will be $15 and $20 VIP option at the door.
